The San Dieguito Lagoon Committee is celebrating 41 years of continuous vigilance. Join in celebrating the ongoing wonder of the San Dieguito Lagoon. Light refreshments will be served.

Start the day with a Ranger led interpretive hike and experience the beauty of the San Dieguito Lagoon. Learn about the Lagoon’s early history, its restoration, and its ecosystems. Meet at the Boardwalk Trail (east side of Jimmy Durante Boulevard across from the Del Mar Fire Station). Limited parking is available at the Del Mar Public Works office lot.

Come to Powerhouse Community Center and learn about the Lagoon’s history and happenings. Visit information tables and explore the roles of the organizations that support the Lagoon and River Park: San Dieguito River Valley Conservancy, Friends of the San Dieguito River Valley, Surfrider Foundation, Southern California Edison (Lagoon Restoration), City of Del Mar (River Path Trail Extension), Del Mar Clean Water Program, Park Rangers, Audubon Society, and Del Mar San Dieguito Lagoon Committee (History of the Lagoon).
